St. Timothy's Middle School students provide leadership and role models for our younger students; therefore, they have many opportunities to build our school community. The flexibility of our small size allows us to provide activities that meet the needs of the students we have in any given year. We typically offer the following programs:
Performing Arts- The Christmas Program and Drama Club provide students a chance to act and sing.
Academic Teams and Competitions- Throughout the years these have included Mathcounts, the AMC-8 Math Competition, the Readers Digest Word Challenge, National Geographic Geography Bees, Spelling Bees, and the annual Science Fair. In the 2008-2009 school year we will have our first Odyssey of the Mind after school club.
Leadership- Our program includes many opportunities for leadership. All students undergo training in the qualities that are hallmarks of good leaders. Students may also choose to run for election as a class officer or for Student Government representative.
Community Service- All Middle School students participate in community service projects to improve the school and surrounding community.
Yearbook- The yearbook is planned by the 6th - 8th Grade students, many of whom also help create the pages.
Trips- All Middle Schoolers attend a 3-5 day science camp each year, as well as a variety of field trips. In some years we also offer optional trips to places such as Washington D.C. and Boston.
